
Colson Baker, born April 22, 1990 Colson Baker, born on April 22, 1990, is an American rapper, singer-songwriter actor, songwriter, and actor. His fusion of genres of hip-hop and alternative rock is what earned him fame. He released four mixtapes from 2007 through the year 2010, after which he signed to Bad Boy Records. The album he released was his debut studio album Lace Up, in 2012, and peaked at number four on the US Billboard 200 and contained his most popular single "Wild Boy" (featuring Waka Flocka Flame). General Admission (2015) and Bloom 2017 were his second and third albums. The latter included the smash hit track "Bad Things" which was sung by Camila Cabello and peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. The fourth album, Hotel Diablo, was hip-hop rock. In 2020 Machine Gun Kelly's fifth album, Tickets to My Downfall (2020) came out. It marked a change from hip-hop and a move into pop punk. The lead single "My Ex's best friend" was the first single to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200. It was the first rock album that reached this position. It was followed up by Mainstream Sellout (2022) which had him achieving similar commercial success. Since then, he has been seen in the suspense film Nerve (2016), the horror Bird Box (2018) and the comedy Big Time Adolescence, as well as the biopic The Dirt (both 2019).
