Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports as young as 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing as well as wrestling, before making her first amateur appearance at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd continued to build on her victory at Ultimate Reno Combat, where she fought three times in a row. She finished all of her opponents in the first round. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen beat Silvia Babaeghian and Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo at WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen by unanimous decision. It left a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent match with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 mark. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior techniques she learned from wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended her bout via an KO (3rd round) (elbows as well as punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen dominated Hoy and defeated her in the second round by KO. Invicta FC, 21 was her last promotion fight. Invicta FC 21, Eubanks won by unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina with her ground and pound techniques which resulted in a TKO second-round victory. She remained dominant and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd defeated Evinger to the punch in the first round and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent in a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's debut major fight. Ladd, who won an unanimous decision in some great exchanges with the fighters received her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within just 16 seconds, ending her win streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya during the third round in UFC on ESPN 7. In a last-minute substitute for her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The decision was made unanimously in her favor.
