Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer famous for the roles she performed on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist as well as the TV series The Mentalist. She earned an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress as well as a producer and director. She works in television and film. Aunjanue L. Ellis began her acting in the theatre. Then, she appeared in television programs along with independent and mainstream film. She rose to fame as Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico, and also appeared on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. For both of these roles she won critical acclaim as well as numerous nominations and awards, including her first award, the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She made her professional acting debut as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. Her credits on stage include the Broadway performance of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. In her film career her most well-known roles are parts like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. Her role on television in ABC's police drama series High Incident has earned her praises.
